INTRO

When I was in college I thought my dream job as a marketer was being a consumer behavior observer, of course it’s been 5 years since graduation, and I haven’t had that job, or almost any real marketing job at all. If you are now thinking what a failure I am I actually don’t give a fuck, I used to, not anymore, (how I accomplish that? just redefining the word success). That is actually why sometimes I’ll write in English and some others in Spanish, and even maybe sometime in both (yes at the same time, so what?)
Well get paid for observing people and give my simply human intuitive conclusions was my ideal job, I haven’t found it, in exchange I’m working in an underpaid job in NYC, just for the pleasure of  living in NY, and in my bus ride home from work it hit me. I’m actually getting paid and I’m observing tons of consumer behavior patterns, the thing here is nobody actually wants me to give them my opinion, they just pay me for selling, (selling: important part of marketing right? Quién lo diría?!) So… My idea here, is sharing my simply human observations about multicultural consumer behavior in this blog. Why?, Not because I’m a marketer as my title says, just because I have just gathered so many information I need to sort out, in order to learn more. And of course because maybe someone finds it valuable: I have.

For all of the above my blog is going to be named:

"Multicultural consumer behavior from an intuitive point of view".

I hope to keep it well updated. My job here takes a lot of time out of me, but since it’s the one that’s going to give me the information to write, I hope I can keep up.

Before I close the intro I believe this is important, well, actually somebody else believes it, and thought me into it :) so here it goes:

 1. I for any reason intend to be racist when pointing different cultures, nationalities, religions or so behavioral patterns. My only goal is to generalize from a consumer level the patterns, rather than a personal level.

2. everything written in this blog is subjective to my intuition, and experiences.

3. I have not scientific proof of anything but my constant analytical observation.

4. I'm having fun while writing it, I hope you have fun while reading it.

5. Last but not least,  I'm so cool.

Pamela.
